Scole Vets slip to second successive defeat
Several players missing as Scole Vet
Scole Vets travelled to fellow promotion rivals, Easton St. Faiths. With several players missing, and with Roy Bevis being named in the opponents line-up, this was going to be a tough battle. Reverting to a 4-4-2 formation, Scole started brightly, dominating early possession and territory. A quick break from the hosts saw Bevis sweep home from close range, then they took control. Two further goals followed before the break, and Scole struggled to recover. Goreham had the ball in the back of the net, but it was ruled out for offside.
After the break, Scole dominated possession, but could not force any clear cut chances. Hutchinson shot just over from a free kick, but Bevis added two more goals to his tally, one from the spot. Barrett was brought down in the box and got up to take the spot kick, but his effort was easily saved. Scole battled on to the end, further dominating possession, but could not create any further chances. The result, like the previous match, slightly flattered the hosts. Scole will hope to end on a high in 2 weeks time, when they host North Walsham Town in their last game of the season.
