Reserves maintain their promotion push with eight home goals
In what is always a difficult situation Scole reserves maintained their push for promotion beating a plucky Poringland reserves.
Scole took the game straight to their opposition but could not find the final pass or shot to ease a bit of nerves. Eventually the Poringland defence was breached from a corner when the ball was bobbling around the goalmouth and Lee Tricker managed to bundle the ball over the line for his first Scole goal. Harry Brookes made it 2 ten minutes later with a neat finish and Harry Browne followed up to put Scole 3 up. Brookes got his second and Scole's fourth before half-time when he nipped in and stroked the ball past the keeper. Scole then took their foot off the pedal and Poringland made Josh Goodwin make his first save of the game with a rasping shot from 20 yeards. The visitors should have got a goal back just before half-time as the ball bounced around the goalmouth sevral times before being cleared. Scole reached half-time leading 4-0 still thouhg.
The second-half continued in a similar vein with Scole attacking but Poringland to their credit pluckily keeping going and showed that they have a couple of decent players in their ranks. It was the home team who increased the lead however through a a second fro Harry Browne before harry Rolingson got in on the act with a flighted header over the keeper. Tricker was in determined mood still though and 2 late goals from him saw the defender grab a hat-trick making the scoreline 8-0 before the final whistle.
Another 3 points but there will be tougher games coming up.
Man of the match: Lee Tricker with a hat-trick form centre-half!
