Reserves Dumped Out Of County Cup

Reserves lose on their travels against higher league opposition
The reserves traveled to division 3 Earsham to take on former player Marc Pearce's team who is now manager over there. The game started badly for Scole as in the second minute Earsham's right midfield was released down the right and with the lino half raising his flag the defence stopped and the cross was knocked in at the far post for a legitimate goal. Ten minutes in and Earsham went further in front following a corner and a header that beat young Josh Musk in goal. Scole tried to get in the game and a shot from Max Turner whizzed over the bar. Scole were struggling to keep up with the more eager home side but continued to try and get a foothold in the game. It remained 2-0 to half-time so the visitors were still in the game and the next goal was going to be important. Immediately from the kick off however Earsham smashed forward and a forward beat Musk at the near post to give the home side their third goal and Scole were looking defeated now. However to their credit they continued to play some plucky football without really testing the home keeper but a further goal from Earsham through a header at the far post before Harry Rolingson got through and forced a decent save from the home keeper. A late fifth goal was the icing on the cake for the home team as Scole went home defeated.
Man of the match: Joe Andrews - who still looked class throughout.
