Scole faced a Bungay side that were slightly under strength due to their Suffolk Senior Cup Semi-Final later in the week! Scole on the other hand were in slightly better shape but were still missing Liam Smith, Ash Baxter & Connor Kerry through injury.
Bungay didn't look under cooked though and took the game to the home side from the kick off and were rewarded with a deserved opening goal after 20 mins. The experienced Shaun Flint scoring their goal. This awoke Scole and striker Ryan Perry came close to equalising almost immediately but it was James Harrison who got the the Scole reply putting in a Alex Blakely corner at the back post. Skipper Ben Norton-Hugman came close with trademark headers on a couple of occasions and keeper Ben Vincent showed his class with a point blank save just on half-time. The only other thing of note in the opening half was Luke Hunt coming on at left back for the injured Lawrence Brown.
Scole continued to dominate in the second half and Josh Lucraft saw his 40 yard free kick cannon back off the bar. Then Kieran Manning put Scolein the lead from a deflected Norton-Hugman cross and Scole settled right down. Ryan Perry scored the 'Yellows' third and final goal converting from a Harrison right wing cross and this was enough for Scole to see the game out in a very comfortable manner.
2 games left and Scole's promotion dream is still very much on and their fate is in their own hands as 2 wins will put them at least 3rd which should be enough to see them go up.
Next Game: Tuesday 1st May away at Loddon United. 6.45 kick off.
