'Scole in comfortable Mummery Cup win versus Loddon United'

Scole United 6 v 1 Loddon United

Scole 1st team finally got the result that their good form had been promising for some weeks! The opponents in the Mummery Cup were Loddon United and traditionally games against them are hard bitten affairs with goals and good football being at a premium. However Scole, with no less than 5 teenagers in their very young line up , played their now familiar pass, move & pressing game to perfection and this week were mucxh more ruthless in front of goal. James Harrison opened the scoring with a shot from a Dan Ryland cross and top scorer Kieran Manning got his 9th of the season finishing a lay off from skipper Ben Norton-Hugman. Scole's 3rd was a 1st senior goal from Ryland converting a Manning cross. Goal number 4 was a typical individual affair from flying winger Dave Coleman giving Scole a 4-0 half-time advantage.
Harrison got his second after good work from sub Chris Collins-Reed. Loddon United grabbed a consolation straight after following a deep cross which spoiled the clean sheet hopes of the home side but Scole had the last laugh with Collins-Reed scoring a great header from Harrison's left wing cross.
A very good performance which will give Scole confidence for next weeks big league game away at Sheringham.
Special mention for youngsters Ollie Boardman & Dan Ryland who both performed really well today.
